. . . You are one sweet teacher and nerds treat . . .

Sadly, today was the last day of Teacher Appreciation Week. I look forward to this week every year because I love coming up with fun treats. This one was a simple one but my son said they were a big hit so that made his day.

I bought these plastic party cups from Walmart for a dollar each and then grabbed a big bag of M&Ms to stuff inside the cup and then created a simple hang tag saying "You are one SWEET Teacher" and of course we had to do them for the principals too. Easy peasy!

I love finding a good bargain and these party cups are great. I have a set of four that I keep at our house and we use them all the time. Can't be them for $1.00!

Made a simple little tag telling the teachers and principals how "Sweet" they are and done!

Don't forget the principal!

Each tag was a bit different in color but all said the same thing.

For our teachers I did an extra treat today since I couldn't resist this Nerds Lip Balm. It was just too perfect to make a tag to say "Thanks for helping me become a real NERD this year".

Love the bright colors!

I can't remember the last time I had Nerds but I bet these lip balms smell just like them!

. . . Teacher you are a real Hoot and Brownie Points for Teacher . . .

We have two great teachers this year and I love getting to send little treats for them any time of year but really enjoy Teacher Appreciation Week. The other thing I love about Teacher Appreciation is that my son gets really into it and helps with ideas and he played a big part in this idea.

I have a collection of owls and was decorating the mantle with them the other day and my mom saw it and said something about how "Hooting" cute it was. Well, that started a whole conversation with my son and I about what we could do for the teachers using owls as a gift. So we went out and bought these two little owls that he chose and we came up with this fun phrase for our teacher gifts.

Having you for a teacher has been a real HOOT!

These little guys came from Christmas Tree Shop which is a great place for all kinds of goodies!

I printed a treat bag topper that says "Having you for my teacher has been a real HOOT"

I packaged the owls in a clear cellophane bag and stapled the treat topper to the cello bag and we were all set for another fun gift.

"Whooo" doesn't love owls?

For the second part of our treat I repeated an idea I had done awhile back...Brownie Points for teachers. I picked up a box of Cosmic Brownies from Little Debbie and gave each teacher a couple brownies and then added a simple little treat tag with some baker's twine.

You are the best Teacher! I hope this earns me some BROWNIE points!

. . . Teacher, you fit me like a Glove . . .

So, this is a completely unconventional teacher appreciation gift but it was perfect for our 5th grade teachers. My son said that the two teachers he has wear gloves quite often for different projects they do with the kids or to clean so when I saw these adorable gloves I picked up a couple pairs for teacher gifts. My thought was that I would be sending them in a gift basket but then teacher appreciation snuck up on me and I figured I could use them as a cute treat for one of the days of the week. I added a treat topper than says "Your teaching style FITS me like a glove" and my son thought it was great so I hope the teachers do too!

I also sent in a package of cards for each teacher and principals with a tag that says "You are a Real Star" because their mascot is a star and the school colors are yellow and blue.

This is just one day out of the week and I have a few other fun ideas planned.

Cute rubber gloves with a little flower ruffle and then a fun tag and another day of teacher appreciation is complete!

. . . Golden School Year Printable . . .

Every year I look forward to spoiling our teachers with cute treats and that includes sending something on the first day of school. This year I went through my list of ideas and decided to create a cute tag for a "Golden" school year and attach the tag to a package of Golden Oreo Cookies. Couldn't be cuter or easier and lucky you I've shared the tags as a printable! I hope your teacher loves getting this sweet treat.

Print your tags from the link at the bottom of this post.
Cut them down to size then punch a hole in the corner and tie them to a package of Golden Oreos. If you wanted to layer your tag like I show here just cut another layer a bit larger than your tag and then use washi tape around each corner to "seal" it. Easy Peasy!

Tie a couple strands of baker's twine or ribbon around the package of cookies then attach your cute tag and you are ready to give your gift!

. . .Teacher Appreciation Day Three-Cards for Teacher . . .

Well, I have tried so hard to follow the guidelines of our PTA requirements for teacher appreciation week so that my son doesn't stand out since that is his big concern this year...today when we pulled in all the kids were carrying in flowers and my son said "Oh yeah, mom, you got it wrong and yesterday was supposed to be cards for teacher so I was the only one with flowers." Oops...no mom of the year award for me I guess. I figure the teachers are probably just happy to get little gifts and they probably didn't even notice but I felt like a rule breaker.

Today was supposed to be flowers for teacher but since I did that yesterday I sent in Personalized Notepads and Personalized Cards for the teacher gifts. The cards and notepads say "Teachers Rule" and then have a ruler and their name is printed in the ruler. Something kind of different and fun for them to use when making to do lists or sending notes home with the kids. I hope they enjoy them.

I printed a set of note cards and a notepad for each teacher and bagged them in a clear cello bag and then printed matching tags that say "Teachers RULE" and attached the tag with some baker's twine. Easy and fun gift for our special teachers!

. . . Teacher Appreciation Day Two-flowers for teacher . . .

Well, today is Day TWO for Teacher Appreciation Week and our school requested flowers for teacher today. I love flowers but I do not grow them and I manage to kill them every time my husband send them to me so knowing my limits I decided to send in something a little different than a bouquet of flowers.

I printed a couple Flowered Desktop Calendars and then wrapped them with pink tulle ribbon and added a cluster of flowers to them. It was something that was usable and still kept to the theme.

I printed off a couple calendars with lots of flowers on each month and then wrapped them with a piece of pink tulle ribbon and added a cluster of pink and purple flowers. Pretty and simple gift!

. . . Teacher Definition Download . . .

Our son has two fantastic teachers! We have had his lead teacher for two years in a row and his assistant this year has just be fabulous. I love coming up with fun gift ideas for teachers because they are always so appreciative and happy to get little treats.

I realize I'm getting this out really late but I have a download to share with you that you can either use for the end of the year gift this year or save it for another occasion when your teacher's need spoiling.

This is a fun gift to give and super easy too. Just print out the color of your choice and cut it down to fit an 8x10 frame and you have an instant gift. I am sure anyone that gets this will be pleased.

• Download the color of your choice and cut down to fit an 8x10 frame
• I layered mine with a coordinating paper
• Attach the two pieces of paper with glue dots or another adhesive

• To dress up the frame I wanted to add a flower with a coordinating button so I used my E6000 glue and attached the buttons to the center of each daisy
• Once the button was attached securely I then glued the flower to the corner of the frame and placed a weight on top while it dried

• I used the purple and aqua combo but the download is available in pink and green as well

. . . Apple Fritters for Teacher Appreciation

Where did the week go? I can't believe it's over already but that also means one last Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea.

We all know that giving a teacher an apple is an old tradition so today when our school asked for sweets for the teacher I decided we'd play on the idea of giving an apple to the teacher.

Today the teachers are getting an "Apple" (Fritter) for all the hard work they do!

If you haven't had the Apple Fritters from Target you are missing out! They are so good. I grabbed a package of them and put two for each teacher in a cello bag and added a fun tag and they were ready to go!

. . . Stuck On You Magnet Teacher Appreciation Gift . . .

Another day of Teacher Appreciation Week behind us but another fun project to share today.

Today our school asked for flowers for the teachers and I am so not into flowers because they don't last and because I can't grow them to save my life so I always try to do something with a flower theme but not the actual live flower.

I created magnets out of the dollar bins at Michael's and a sheet of Martha Stewart Stickers from Michael's. Pretty darn easy! I would highly recommend getting the heavy duty magnets for these but if you go with the round magnets that are not heavy duty you will want to use 2 of them on the back of your clothespin.

I think these magnets will for sure be on my "Gift" list for some special people...Grandma's, Mom's, Friends etc. Such a cute and inexpensive gift and everyone loves having a nice looking magnet!

• Gather your supplies:

Stickers

Clothespins

Industrial Strength Magnets

E6000 Glue

Powder

Paint Chips

Ribbon or Baker's Twine

A Cute Tag

• For sure you want to try to find the industrial strength magnets because they will hold things on your surface much better

• Want a great tip for stickers when you no longer want them to be sticky? Powder!!! I poured a little baby powder into a cup and then dipped each sticker in it so it would remove the stickiness of the sticker. If you don't do this step and your sticker hangs over the edge of your clothespins it will attract all kinds of dust and lint etc. Not good!

• Now that the sticker is not sticky you will put a strip of E6000 Glue right down the center
• Attach the sticker directly to the front of the clothespin and hold it in place for a few seconds then lay it flat to dry
• Once the sticker has adhered to the front of the clothespin you will put a dab of blue on your industrial strength magnets and place them in the desired location on the back of the clothespin
