. . . CookieTimeTuesday-Pecan Chocolate Chip Bars . . .

This recipe is a keeper!  It was a bit of a pain to "spread" the dough out on the cookie sheet but other than that it was quick and simple.  The finished bar was amazing!  I for sure will be making this one again.  In my oven baking them at 375 degrees was a little too hot so I think next go I will drop the temp a little bit and watch them a little closer.  The center of my bars were sooo soft and gooey but the outer edges got too crisp.  Just food for thought...

 Print Recipe HERE

You will need:
1 ¾ Cup All Purpose Flour
½ tsp Salt
1 Cup Butter softened
1 ½ Cup Brown Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Eggs
2 Cups Chocolate Chips, divided (I used Milk Chocolate)
1 ½ Cup Chopped Pecans, divided

 • Gather ingredients
• Combine butter and brown sugar
• Add flour mixture and combine.  Stir in chocolate chips and pecans
• Spread dough into a 10x15 inch jelly roll pan lined with parchment paper or greased

 • Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips and pecans
• Bake for 25 minutes in a 375 degree oven--watch closely for the bars to not get too brown

Yummy!
