. . . Iced Chocolate Coffee Drink . . .

I love iced coffee and make a cup everyday with some half and half and a few packs of Splenda.  I brew a big pot of coffee and keep it in the fridge so it's right ready to go when I'm ready for a cool coffee drink.  Sometimes I crave something a little richer and this drink is the perfect remedy for that craving.  So easy but so yummy--my son fights me fore it if I only make enough for one cup.

• You will need Half and Half, Hot Chocolate Packets, Sweetner and Coffee
• Pour desired amount of half and half and coffee into blender.  Add sweetner and hot chocolate packet.  Depending on the amount of coffee and half and half I sometimes use more than one packet of hot chocolate mix.
• Run the blender until the mixture is well combined.
•  I use a Starbucks Double Walled cup that I have had since they came out with them a couple years ago--it's like a Tervis Tumbler and they are great!  I fill my cup with some ice and pour the coffee mixture over it and ENJOY.

Other Iced Coffee Ideas:
Blend some butterscotch instant pudding mix, cinnamon, half and half and coffee together and serve over ice.  This is really good with some pumpkin added to it

Blend coffee, half and half and some caramel ice cream topping and serve over ice

What is your favorite coffee drink?

  5. I am in love with coffee iced drinks and we can make them that taste just like Starbucks and a lot cheaper. I am on Weight Watchers and I make a frozen one using coffee, splenda, fat free, sugar free vanilla or chocolate pudding and ice and blend. Glad to find your blog, hope you will visit me.

  7. LOVE this! Thank you for posting!

I am a 1st grade teacher who does a poetry coffeehouse for a writing celebration at the end of our poetry unit. The parents LOVE it and the kids do an awesome job reading their poetry.

This year, with all the guests (parents, friends, family, etc.) and coffee brewing, it was 82 degrees in our classroom. I decided next year, I would need an iced coffee recipe!
This is so PERFECT! I already cannot wait until next year so I can try it at our poetry coffeehouse in 2012!

    Thank you again!!!!

  16. I can't wait to try this! I've recently been hooked on a simple recipe I found in my mom's old blender manual (from 1968), that includes just instant coffee, ice, milk, and chocolate syrup.

My husband prefers it over the mocha frappuccino from Starbucks!

  24. My morning coffee is a teaspoon of hot chocolate, creamer, sugar. Chasing a 4 & 3 yo around, hot coffee gets cold quick...so it just turns into a cold mocha. Never thought to make it in a mass and serve to others! They love my coffee hot can't wait to share it cold ;-)

  25. It'd be good, if I had how much of each ingredient is needed.

    1. This is a recipe that is just a dump recipe which means you make it to your taste. I would start with an average size cup of coffee and a splash of half and half and a packet of hot chocolate mix and desired amount of sweetener and then try it and add more of each item as you see fit. I don't measure for this drink in any way but just estimate and make add more if sinething if needed.
