I decided for Cookie Time Tuesday to celebrate Oreo's 100 Years by making homemade Oreos. I have seen many recipes online for homemade Oreo Cookies but hadn't ever tried one. I don't know where I found this recipe but it was in my pile of Cookie Recipes and I'm sure glad it was because these babies taste just like an Oreo Cookie! Wow are they yummy. There are also so many great ways you can "dress them up"--add food coloring to the filling mixture, add sprinkles, add pretty colored sugar to the top of the cookies etc. So much fun and really easy to make!

This week I owe my Mom a HUGE thank you for helping get Cookie Time Tuesday done. I normally make my cookies the weekend before but this past week I have been really sick and just couldn't get them baked. I have Bronchitis and an Ear and Sinus Infection so let me tell you Cookie Time Tuesday was not something I felt up to doing. Luckily Mom helped me get them done so I wouldn't have to miss a week.
