. . . Super Hero Wall Art . . .

I was so excited to get to try out this new product by Scrapbooking Attitude.  Basically it's a printable film so all you need is an inkjet printer, a glue stick and a fabric, paper or wooden surface and you have a multitude of projects you can use it for.

We are working on updating my son's room so this was the perfect time to create some very inexpensive artwork for his walls.  He has been begging me to do some super hero art for his bedroom so when this Scrapbooking Attitude Printable Film showed up in the mail I knew just what I was going to do with it.  He is beyond thrilled and it couldn't have been any easier.

You will need:

Scrapbooking Attitude Printable Film (You buy it on their website)

Inkjet printer

Artist's Canvas

Glue Stick

Washi Tape

• Gather your supplies.  I used images from Google (these are trademarked logos so of course they are for personal use only) and then added text above and below the graphic then set my printer to print on Glossy Photo Paper and as a Mirror Image (very important step)

•I measured on my artist's canvas where I wanted the printed film to go and then used my glue stick directly on the canvas in the area the artwork would go

•Once the printed film is in place smooth it all out--I used a spatula from the kitchen to get mine smooth.

• This product is very thin and super easy to peel off the backing.  One thing I found was that my ink smeared if I used the glue stick directly on the printed film so I just used it on the canvas instead.

• Once my images were adhered to the canvas I added a border of black and white polka dot washi tape all around the edges for a finishing touch

•Even though I glued my film I wanted to be sure it was extra durable so I also ran the iron over it.  Be sure to lay a cloth down on top of your artwork before ironing.  It seemed to smooth all the edges perfectly.  

• Now it's ready to go in my son's room...easy as that!

My son came home from school and saw the Batman and Superman art and went nuts over it.  He begged me to do one more so I let him decide which super hero would be done on the third canvas and he went with Captain America.  Now his wall above the bed isn't so empty.
