. . . Paper Plate Holder . . .

I was trying to think of a great way to store Paper Plates in my kitchen.  They are so convenient to have around with an 8 year old but I hate that they just sit in a stack in the corner because it just doesn't look very nice.  I also always want something that looks nice when I have a party instead of just stacking them or putting them in a basket.

I was cruising a thrift store looking for Vintage Pyrex dishes when all of a sudden I saw this CD Holder or maybe a File Holder--not sure exactly what its intended use was.  Anyway it was so beyond perfect for my kitchen because I have a lot of black wrought iron items.  I love how convenient it is to just walk by and grab a plate.  My husband thinks my idea was genius so of course that is an added bonus.

The best part was that I bought this holder and all I had to do was wash it!
Love when that happens.

Just stick your plates down in the sections.

Easy Peasy!

  2. Hi Lindy -

I love seeing clever re-purposing ideas like this. It looks soooo nice. No need to hide the paper plates in a cabinet anymore. That is the nicest paper plate holder I have ever seen.

  4. Sheer genius. I have given up on the battle of the paper plate. I don't want them and my husband insists on them (as to not do the dishes). This is such a great idea I will give in to the paper plates now. Can't wait to find a CD holder.

  6. What a clever idea. I love all the great party pieces you can find at thrift stores. With a little imagination and repurposing you can do some amazing things. I am totally going to be looking for one of these organizaer "thingies" now! Thanks for sharing.

  7. Genius! We have 20-30 teenagers over for dinner twice a month (my husband is a youth pastor) so we go through some paper plates! I am definitely going to keep an eye out for something similar!

  8. Isn't it funny how the simplest ideas are the best? I'm totally going to be looking for something similar to keep in our sunroom. We often eat meals out there, but it's sometimes such a hassle to carry plates and all the extras in and out for a meal. This would be a great solution to that problem! Thanks for sharing! I'd love for you to pop by my blog sometime, www.icantstopcrafting.blogspot.com

  9. Such a clever idea! My Mom has a dinner once a week for up to 25 people and she does through tons of paper plates. Something like this would be perfect for her. Thanks for the idea!
