. . . Button Necklaces . . .

I am a bit of a jewelry fantatic!  I just can't stand not to have it on and it's even better when I have the time to   make my own.  I have been making these button necklaces, yep buttons, and they are a huge hit!

I have given them out as gifts and they go over really well--even to people that don't wear jewelry that often. They are lightweight and you can really make them to match any outfit. I keep a container of buttons that come with clothing and I have quite a few fun colored buttons because of crafting and scrapping but I did buy a bunch of larger fun buttons from Wal Mart and then used up the freebie buttons I have here at home to add the coordinating color.

• Buttons, Bails, E6000 Glue and Ball Chain
• Assemble your buttons by using a small amount of glue on the back of the smaller button that will be glued to the larger button.
• Apply a small amount of glue to the bail and flip your button over and glue it on the back and let it dry
• Once everything is dry add your ball chain and start wearing

I got my Bails from Hobby Lobby and purchased 2 sizes.
I got my ball chain from Wal Mart and purchased 2 sizes to fit into the 2 sizes of bails
The assortment of fun buttons were purchased from Wal Mart, Hobby Lobby and Michaels.

If you love these but aren't interested in making them yourself just let me know and I'm sure I can make some for you.  I have a bunch of different color combos and I receive compliments every single time I wear them.

  4. These are really cute. I see all kinds of really cool buttons I like, but could never think of anything good to make with them, so I don't buy them. But now, I will buy those cool buttons. Thank you for sharing.
