. . . Milk Glass Flower Arrangements . . .

I love the look of Milk Glass--it makes me think of spring and has a shabby chic look to it.  I wanted to see if I could replicate it with some empty Starbucks Frap bottles.  I used white acrylic paint from Michael's and Twine from The Twinery and a few flowers from Dollar Tree and I have a fresh spring look.  These would be perfect for a spring party, Bridal Shower, Baby Shower etc.

•I cleaned my empty bottles and removed labels with Goo Gone and let them dry completely.
•I took the white acrylic paint and poured  fairly large amount into the bottle.  I swirled it a little so it would start running down to the top of the bottle.
•Then I turned the bottles upside down on a paper plate so the paint would "drain" out and coat the bottle.  I did this about 3 times to make sure I had a nice coating of white.  There is no paint on the outside so you still have a nice shiny finish.  I let them dry for about 24 hours.
•I then took my Pink Sorbet Twine and put a tiny dab of glue on the end of my twine and placed the twine on the bottle and just started wrapping the twine around the bottle.  You could do it with alot more twine or just a ribbon.  Then I put three flowers in each bottle and had a beautiful flower arrangement--simple and sweet.

  11. What a cute idea. I am wanting to use glass milk bottles at my daughters summer birthday party for decorations. I have been searching online and so far have not found them at a price I am willing to spend. I like this idea. I think I will give it a try. My husband better start drinking these like crazy since I am not a coffee drinker. I am a new follower of yours and I'd love if you'd follow back.
