. . . Bunny Topiary . . .

I was blog hopping the other day and came across an adorable Bunny Topiary over on Autocrat's Blog--stay tuned for a great guest post from her this weekend.  I loved the little bunny covered in moss so I went straight to Pier 1 and picked up a couple of them.  It was an easy peasy project that turned out so cute.

I gathered up my metal bucket (Target-$1.00), shredded paper, paint for the little wooden handle, Spring garden picks (Target-$1.00), styrofoam and my bunnies.  I first painted the wooden handle and then propped a fork under it so the purple paint would get on the bucket.  I then glued a piece of styrofoam into the bottom of the bucket.

I stuck my bunnies down in the styrofoam and added the :grass"--I used shredded paper.  I then started placing my garden picks and tied the ribbon around the bunny.  After seeing it sitting I decided to go back and add a second bunny so I cut off the stick he is attached to so he'd be a different size.  I then covered my table with a green pashmina scarf and added a milk bottle filled with purple grass and daisies and a couple Easter eggs.  Easy as can be, right?

  3. Cute! I went tearing into P1 yesterday, panicked because I couldn't find these, figured they were sold out and then asked someone and they hadn't been unpacked yet. So I have to go back today to pick them up. Can't wait!
