Yes, I realize I'm a
little early on this recipe because it's not really fall yet but I have been craving
pumpkin and decided to whip up a batch of Pumpkin Pie Coffee Creamer! Oh so yummy.
I love a flavored coffee but flavored creamers always seem to have an aftertaste
in my opinion so I decided to give a batch of homemade creamer a try and I sure am glad
I did.
This can't be any easier
and will make fantastic gifts--just pour in a fun jar and add a cute label and
some ribbon and you are in business.
You will love your
morning cup of coffee with this creamer added in. I have seen quite a few different recipes for
Pumpkin Creamer but mine is just a lot of dumping and very few measurements.
You will need:
Half and Half
Pure Pumpkin or Pumpkin Pie Mix (I used the pumpkin pie
mix)
Vanilla Extract
Maple Syrup
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
Allspice
• Gather your ingredients
• Pour 2 cups of half and half in a saucepan then add 3 to 4 tablespoons of your pumpkin pie mix or pure pumpkin
• Add 4 Tablespoons of maple syrup and 1 teaspoon of vanilla and your spices to your liking. I don't really have measurements on the spices because I just dumped them in based on what I figured I'd like the end product to taste like.
• Whisk your mixture over medium heat until it just starts a rolling boil then remove. I whisked mine pretty much nonstop to be sure everything was well blended.
• You will want to strain your creamer--this is not a step you want to skip on because as you can see there is a lot that gets strained out. I actually did mine three times and each time got a good bit of "gunk" out so I"m glad I did that.
• Pour the creamer into a container and let it cool a bit then seal and refrigerate until well chilled.
• Tie a pretty ribbon or twine around your container of Pumpkin Pie Coffee Creamer and you are ready to serve to your guests or give as gifts.
• I like iced coffee so I poured mine into a glass of iced coffee but it is very good in a cup of hot coffee as well
Add a pretty label to the top of your jar and you have the perfect treat for a little gift.
• • •taste of fall!
This is so good and really gives you the taste of fall. I have already made two batches this week because it really makes your cup of coffee. I've also given some away this week as a special treat and it's been very well received. I hope you enjoy it!
