. . . Cookie Time Tuesday--Spring Cookie Sticks . . .

I really love using M&Ms in my cookies but I hate to bore all of you by doing the same old same old.  I was searching for something a bit springy but also a bit different than the norm to keep it interesting.  When I came across this idea for Cookie Sticks over at Taste of Home I knew it was perfect for Cookie Time Tuesday but with a spring twist by using the pastel M&Ms and even getting really crazy by using the White Chocolate M&Ms.  I also did a batch with some cut up pink chocolate chunks which added another element of fun.
  CookieSticks
These are super addictive so be warned that it's hard to eat just one little stick.  The kids will go nuts over these delicious cookies I promise!

You will need:
 Canola or Vegetable Oil
Sugar
Brown Sugar
Flour
Baking Soda
Salt
Egg
Vanilla
M&Ms
Nuts (Optional)
Chocolate Chips or Chunks of colored chocolate (Optional)
 • Gather your ingredients
• Combine the oil, sugars and egg together
• Add the dry ingredients
• Divide dough in half and shape into two "logs"

 • Place the chocolate chips or chunks where you want them and press lightly
• Add M&Ms where you want them keeping in mind that you will be cutting these into sticks so you don't want to have to cut a bunch of your M&Ms in half when you make the sticks
• Bake at 375 Degrees for 7 to 8 minutes for soft cookies or 8 to 10 for crispier cookies
• Remove from oven and cool then cut into "sticks"
