I actually did this project for my son's Easter Basket with the intention of using it as a toy bucket afterwards. It was an easy and quick way to dress up a Dollar Store bucket. I like that I can label the bucket with whatever toys he's putting in it on any given day.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
• The bucket came from the Dollar Store and I had the chalkboard spray paint
• My husband taped off the space that I wanted th paint to go (I can't believe he got involved in one of my many crafts but he had fun doing it)
• Almost ready for paint
• I added paper all around the bucket so no paint would get on it anywhere
• Sprayed the bucket on the front porch because it was raining--not the best conditions for spray paint
• I did about 3 coats to cover it nicely
• I removed the paper and let the chalkboard paint dry completely
• The reveal
• I added black and white polka dot washi tape to form a border and dress up the bucket a little more

ReplyDeleteWould be perfect for my linky party!
I just started a linky party this past Tuesday. It was a great success with over 50 link ups! I would love it if you would participate ToDaY! It's called $10 Tuesdays and it's for things that cost less than $10 and take 20-30 mins (ish) to complete. I love inexpensive and quick projects and I'm guessing others will too ;) Thanks so much for considering.

I just found this post and thank God. I've had a hard time getting my buckets to turn out nicely and it turns out you did the EXACT bucket and craft I'm working on now too. I'm glad I found this. Thanks!
